MONMOUTH — Sewing For Kids will be held on Mondays for 12 weeks beginning Jan. 26 at the Packard Activity Center (under the United Church).
Suggestions for payment including “paying it forward” to the Food Bank.
There will be snacks for children.
Classes for grades 5 to 8 will run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and for grades K to 4 from 4:30 to 5:50. Up to six spots are available per session.
Children will learn and practice a variety of hand-sewing and hand-work techniques.
Quilting class
A Winter Into Spring Quilting Class will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Packard Activity Center. The 12-week class will begin Jan. 20.
The cost is $30 for the entire class. All proceeds support the community work of The United Church of Monmouth.
The pattern will be “My Country Quilt,” made with three scrappy colors.
