PARIS — The Oxford Hills Vikings had three players with double digits in a 71-45 victory over the Mt. Blue Cougars in varsity action.
Andrew Fleming led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings (6-5). Blake Slicer had a career high of 16 points and Tyus Ripley provided 15 points.
Zach Mittelstadt led all scorers with 21 points as Mt. Blue falls to 1-10 on the season.
Carrabec 45, Oak Hill 43
WALES — Dustin Crawford netted 13 points in a balanced attack to lead Carrabec to a 45-43 victory over Oak Hill in girls’ basketball action Saturday.
The Raiders (2-9) failed to score into double digits in the third quarter, the difference in the game. Dalton Therrien notched a game-high 20 points on eight field goals and two free throws for Oak Hill.
William Crawford assisted the Cobra (1-9) offense with 11 points on three field goals from beyond the arc and a pair of free throws in the winning effort.
Buckfield 55, Greenville 41
BUCKFIELD — Freshman guard Nick Foley pounded out eight field goals, including five from three-point range, and two free throws to notch a game-high 23 points and send Buckfield to a 55-41 win over Greenville in EWC boys’ basketball action Saturday.
The Bucks (3-8) turned up the tempo in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead at the half.
Senior guard Tyler Vallee recorded 14 points and sophomore guard Jake Kraske registered 14 points apiece for the Lakers (5-6) in the losing effort.
Girls’ basketball
Oak Hill 41, Carrabec 35
WALES — Bri Mulherin scored 12 points to lead Oak Hill to a 41-35 victory over Carrabec in girls’ varsity basketball action Saturday.
The Raiders made 16-of-20 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Jamie Pru contributed 10 points on two field goals and five three throws, while Mulherin made two field goals and seven free throws.
Emma Pluntke tossed a team-leading 10 points for the Cobras in the losing effort.
St. Dom’s 32, Lisbon 29
LISBON — Faith Grady drained 17 points to lead St. Dom’s to a 32-29 victory over Lisbon in girls’ basketball action Saturday.
The Greyhounds (2-8) tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but only managed to shrink the seven-point deficit by four. Jasmin Le recorded 12 points, while Mikayla Yanez posted 10 for Lisbon.
Chloe Dwinell provided eight points for the Saints (2-6) in the winning effort.
Oxford Hills 47, Mt. Blue 40 (2OT)
FARMINGTON — Anna Winslow steered Oxford Hills with 21 points as the Vikings dispatched Mt. Blue 47-40 in double overtime in girls’ basketball action Saturday.
The Vikings (9-2) out did the Cougars (6-4) by seven points in the second overtime frame to secure the win. Tianna Sugars contributed 10 points for Oxford Hills.
Caitlin Kane tossed a team-high 13 pints for Mt. Blue in the losing effort.
Gray-NG 52, Lake Region 35
GRAY — Maria Valente had a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots defeated the Lake Region Lakers 52-35 in girls’ basketball action. She went 15-for-16 from the free throw line.
Zoe Adams contributed to the victory with 14 points as the Patriots improve their record to 10-0 on the season.
Lauren Jakobs led the Lakers (5-4) with 11 points while Sarah Hancock had seven points.
Poland 40, Fryeburg Academy 35
FRYEBURG — Hope Kohtala helped lead the way for the Poland Knights as she had 15 points including three-three pointers in the 40-35 victory over Fryeburg Academy.
Nathalie Theriault pitched in with 11 points while Michaella Arsenault had ten in the victory.
Julia Quinn and Lexi L’Heareaux-Cortland each had 11 points for Fryeburg Academy in the loss.
Boys’ hockey
St. Dom’s 9, Lawrence/Skowhegan 2
AUBURN — Junior left wing Ryan Lutrzykowski scored two goals an an assist to lead St. Dom’s to a 9-2 victory over Lawrence/Skowhegan in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday.
The Saints (6-1-1) pocketed three goals in each period. Caleb Labrie and Austin Roy netted two each for St. Dom’s.
Senior center Cody Martin scored the first of the Bandits’ two goals to shorten the deficit to 3-1 early in the second period.
Edward Little 4, BE/Mass/OOB 3
GORHAM — Freshman Alex Landry notched the eventual game-winning goal early in the third third period on a feed from behind the net, a one timer from the slot, to lift Edward Little to a 4-3 victory over Bonny Eagle/Massabesic/Old Orchard Beach in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday.
The Red Eddies (5-4) led 3-0, going into the final frame.
Senior forward Kyle Whitman collected a pair of goals for the Sea Stangs.
Cony/Monmouth 6, Poland/Gray-NG/Oak Hill 5
AUBURN — The Cony/Monmouth Rams erased a 4-1 deficit and held on for a 6-5 victory over the Poland/Gray-NG/Oak Hill 26ers. Spencer Buck had two goals and an assist to lead the Rams.
Drew Keithley, Theo Mahaleris, Evan Bowers and Dakota Benson also scored in the victory. Goaltender Tom Small stopped 16 shots for the Rams (2-4).
Ethan Cailler, Bailey Drouin and Ryan Lavoie each had a goal and assist to lead the 26ers (3-5). Deryk Belanger and Isaiah Dubois also scored. Nick Hemond made 23 saves in the loss.
Girls’ hockey
Lewiston 2, Biddeford 0
LEWISTON — Chloe Morin and Allison Frechette netted a goal each as Lewiston skated to a 2-0 victory over Biddefeord in girls’ ice hockey action Saturday.
Makaela Field assisted on both goals for the Blue Devils.
Rebekah Guay performed keeper duties for the Tigers, while goalie Meagan Gosselin earned the win in net for Lewiston.
