FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank has hired a new internal auditor, Kelli Given of Jay. She will replace Lionel Howard of Skowhegan, who retires in February after 22 years at the bank.

Given has earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, both from Thomas College in Waterville. She is currently working to attain certified internal auditor status, which will further develop her knowledge and understanding of internal auditing theories, standards and practices.

She comes to Franklin Savings Bank from the Office of the State Auditor, where she was a senior auditor for the state. In that capacity, she completed numerous comprehensive audits over many state programs and agencies.
