MILLINOCKET (AP) — Police say one person was killed and three others were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Millinocket.

Investigators say an SUV rear-ended a car on Route 157 at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the car may have been stopped at the time.

The victim’s name was not immediately made public pending notification of family, and police did not say which vehicle the victim was in.

The three injured people were taken to the hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

The road was blocked for about two hours after the crash.

The cause remains under investigation but visibility may have played a role.
