FARMINGTON — The last of four defendants in a methamphetamine manufacturing operation on Rangeley Road in Phillips pleaded guilty Wednesday, according to court documents.
Kimberly Webber, 25, of Vienna pleaded guilty to a felony charge of conspiracy to commit trafficking in scheduled drugs. A felony charge of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs was dismissed in the plea agreement.
Sentencing is set for Feb. 27 in Franklin County Superior Court.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Maine State Police broke up the drug operation on July 15, 2014, after Franklin County Detective Kenneth Charles stopped a Jeep driven by Jason Fowler, 40, of Chesterville. Fowler had been under investigation by the MDEA and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office since July 9.
Investigators found items in the Jeep consistent with making methamphetamine, a highly addictive stimulant. Webber, a passenger in the vehicle, had control of some of the drug in the car, according to a drug agent’s affidavit filed with the court.
Fowler pleaded guilty in January to a felony drug charge. He was sentenced to nine years in prison, with all but 18 months suspended. He will be on probation for three years after he is released from prison.
Co-defendant Michael Halle, 46, of Phillips pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge in December. He was sentenced in January to eight years in prison with all but two and a half months suspended. Upon his release, he will be on probation for three years.
Another defendant, Erin Smith, 43, of Phillips, pleaded guilty in December to a felony charge of conspiracy to commit trafficking in scheduled drugs. She is on a two-year agreement that delays sentencing until December 2016. She served six months in jail prior to entering her plea.
