Calvary cancels weekend events
LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church has canceled the following events this weekend.
Bean supper set for Saturday at 4:45 p.m., Sunday morning’s City Mission Breakfast at 8 and Sunday Morning Bible Study and Worship Service at 9 and 10:30 a.m.
Emma’s Happy Rebels event postponed
RUMFORD — Due to the storm, the fundraiser planned by Emma’s Happy Rebels for Saturday, Feb. 14, has been moved to Saturday, March 21.
It will take place at the Eagles. Doors open at 7 p.m. to view the raffles and action items. From 8 p.m. to midnight DJ Bustin Justin Hamner will entertain. There will be hourly drawings for prizes. A
Tickets at the door are $10 per person, or if you wear Special Olympic medals, ribbons or come with an athlete it’s $5 per person.
Dart banquet, shoot moves to March
LEWISTON — Central Maine Dart banquet and dart shoot is canceled for Sunday, Feb. 15, has been moved to Sunday, March 15, at noon at the Eagles.
Sno-Goers wind tower ride canceled
ANDOVER — The weather forecast is for a lot of snow and high winds, therefore the Snow Valley Sno-Goers wind tower ride scheduled for Feb. 15 has been canceled.

STEM education scholarships available
HAMPTON, N.H. — Unitil, a local provider of natural gas and electricity, is accepting applications from graduating high school seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree in STEM subject areas — science, technology, engineering and math. Applications must be received on or before March 14, and recipients will be notified by April 30.
Six $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to students within its service territories in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. Students who live and attend high school in one of Unitil’s service territories, who will also be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject area, are encouraged to apply for this scholarship opportunity.
