BRIDGTON — It may be hard to believe with four feet of snow on the ground — and the real start of spring not until March 20 — but the first sign of spring is “springing” up in Bridgton.
Emily Hammerle, guild volunteer and manager of the Bridgton Hospital Guild Thrift Shop, has announced the March 2-14 dates of their “end of winter” shop sale. Many followers of this popular resale shop look forward to this event to buy great items for the whole family at incredible prices.
The week starts with their popular half-price sale March 2-7, followed by “Fill A Bag” for just $2 from March 9-14. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Following the sale dates, the volunteers of the guild close their doors on Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17, and restock, reopening Wednesday, March 18, with their spring and summer merchandise.
The Bridgton Hospital Guild Thrift Shop is on 173 Main St., adjacent to Reny’s. Run by guild member volunteers who dedicate their energy and time to make the shop truly special, they are always accepting quality donations from the community and tax receipts are available.
