I congratulate the Lewiston community for coming out in a big way to support the high school boys basketball team during its run to the Eastern final game.

Having followed the team for the past seven years, it was great to see those athletes giving everything they had on the court. I saw stands full of supporters, some of whom may have never seen those kids play before.

I am an Oxford Hills resident but have come to understand the different challenges that the city brings.

There are as many stories as there are kids on the team. The experiences gained during the past few years will shape each of these young men in their life’s journey.
