Androscoggin Pomona Grange program
POLAND — Androscoggin Pomona Grange No. 1 will meet Wednesday, March 4, at Excelsior Grange on Harris Hill Road. A special program will be presented by Gladys Chapman.
A 50/50 raffle will be held along with the attendance drawing.
There will be a 6:30 p.m. $5 supper and a 7:30 p.m. meeting.
Members are reminded to turn in their “It’s in the Bag” fundraiser funds.

Corned beef supper at Auburn VFW
AUBURN — A corned beef supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the VFW at 588 Minot Ave.
Price for adults is $7 and children under 12, $3. All proceeds go to help local veterans.
Kids’ ice fishing derby is March 7
POLAND — Hooked on Fishing kids’ ice fishing derby will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7, at Range Pond.
Free ice fishing traps will be given to the first 500 preregistered children ages 12 and under that arrive before 10 a.m., and for the first 100 Special Olympic entrants, compliments of Kittery Trading Post.
Free ice fishing basics will be demonstrated. There will be drilled holes and free bait for kids, first come first serve.
There also will be cross country ski trails, a sliding hill and a food vendor.
Cost is $1.50 for ages 13-64; all others are free.

Community blood drive in Winthrop
WINTHROP — A community blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Route 133.
The drive is open to all qualifying donors and all are welcome. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. A form of identification is required.
Indoor yard sale at Vineyard Church
MECHANIC FALLS — An indoor yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Vineyard Church of Mechanic Falls, 90 Lewiston St.
All proceeds go to benefit the May Los Anonos, Costa Rica mission’s trip.
Program to discuss library services
TOPSHAM — On Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m., the Topsham Public Library board of trustees and director, Susan Preece, invite town residents to “Not as Easy as It Looks,” an open, public discussion about the library.
What is driving budget increases in providing library service in the 21st century? Join them as they talk about what goes into creating a successful library. Discover how library service has changed over time, consider how we can continue to provide outstanding service in the digital age and share ideas on what services should be provided in Topsham.
