LEWISTON — Lewiston native Maura Moody has been hired by the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council as office manager and public relations coordinator.

Moody brings with her experience in social media trends and nonprofits. She also has a degree in public relations.

The position will be responsible for creating a good first impression for LAEGC and the cities of Lewiston and Auburn, according to LAEGC President John Holden. “The public relations coordinator role will help facilitate marketing L-A together with partners in the community, help manage the council’s social media presence and indirectly assist in sharing the progress of economic development,” Holden said in a prepared statement.

“I grew up here, went to school and live here,” Moody said in the statement. “I respect what LAEGC is setting out to accomplish, and my goal coming in is to help organize and grow this already-thriving council by leveraging my passion for networking and leadership.”
