JAY — The following are upcoming events happening at Spruce Mountain High School for the week of March 7-13.

Cathy Nichols benefit supper

The staff and friends of Cathy Nichols will sponsor a benefit spaghetti supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in the cafeteria. Children are $5 and adults $7. Nichols is fighting pancreatic cancer. T-shirts are also being sold with all proceeds to benefit Cathy.

Vocational Center field trip

All sophomores who return permission slips will tour the Kenneth Foster Vocational Center in Farmington on Monday, March 9. Extra permission slips can be picked up in the Guidance Office.

Senior scholarships

The RSU 73 website has been updated with all scholarships for seniors. Go to RSU73.org under the Guidance Office. The deadline for seniors to apply for local scholarships is Friday, April 17.

Early release day

Wednesday, March 11, will be an early release day for all the schools in RSU 73.

Math meet

Spruce Mountain High School will attend a math meet at Lewiston High School on Wednesday, March 11.

Teacher workshop day

Friday, March 13, will be a teacher workshop day for all the schools in RSU 73. There will be no school for students on this day.

Harlem Superstars

Jobs for Maine Graduates is sponsoring the Harlem Superstars for a comedy basketball game vs. the Faculty Dream Team. The game will be at the high school at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13. Advance admission is $7 and $8 at the door.
