SOUTH PARIS — The WMCA CareerCenter, 4 Western Ave., lists its March/April schedule of events at the South Paris satellite office.
Orientations to CareerCenter services are available on a walk-in basis via a PowerPoint presentation. To view the orientation, visit the Norway Memorial Library and ask to see the presentation.
Group orientations are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 16; 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26; 9 a.m. Thursday, April 9; and 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 20. Call 743-7763, ext. 1, to attend a group orientation.
Other services available through the satellite office include assistance with registering with the Maine Job Bank. Customers can register from home or from any computer with Internet access by visiting the link: http://www.mainecareercenter.com/.

The Maine Department of Labor implemented a new online application for filing unemployment claims. Maine unemployment security law requires all individuals filing for unemployment insurance benefits to be registered with the Maine Job Bank. For help, see Diane at the Norway Memorial Library from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday or Wednesday.

The WMCA South Paris CareerCenter has a trained health navigator who can assist with a Healthcare.gov application and/or make changes to an application when needed. The open enrollment period ended Feb. 15, but those experiencing a “life change event” such as losing a job that offered health insurance or other such event, may qualify for a special enrollment period. The WMCA South Paris CareerCenter is open by appointment with staff assistance available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-in hours available every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Norway Memorial Library.
