LEWISTON —  The city is enacting a parking ban this weekend in anticipation of a snow storm.

Vehicles will be banned from parking on city streets from 11 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday.

The storm is expected to start with light snow Saturday, according to WGME meteorologist Charlie Lopresti.  Steadier snow is expected by evening. By Sunday afternoon, inland Maine could get 6 inches of snow.

The National Weather Service has not issued any warnings or watches yet for the weekend.
