1953 – 2015
LEWISTON — Richard D. Packard, 61, of Lewiston, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 24, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1953, to Marjorie (McAllister) and Harold Packard Jr. Known best by his family as Dickie, he loved to fish, hunt and go camping in his younger years, living a very quiet life in later years, due to medical problems.
He worked at the Diamond Match Mill in Peru, and later worked in the woods.
He is survived by his mother; sister and brother-in-law, Gale (Packard) and Joseph Gabriel, sister-in-law, Grace (Stephen) Packard; sister-in-law, Holly (Robert) Packard; two daughters, Diane Martin and Luanne Bautista; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, especially Theresa Nicholson and Christopher Henderson, who loved him dearly.
Dickie was predeceased by his father, Harold Packard Jr.; and his brothers, Stephen Packard and Robert Packard.
A special thank-you to all of his caregivers who worked to make his life more comfortable.
Dickie was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
