DIXFIELD — Police responded to 51 calls for service since March 15. Among them were the following:
* A Kidder Avenue resident reported at 11:14 a.m. on April 1 that someone had stolen a propane regulator valued at $25.
* An Averill Road resident reported at 3:40 p.m. on March 30 the theft of a chain saw and bicycle. They were taken in December 2014 or later.
* A Pine Street resident reported at 10:44 a.m. on March 28 that someone had burglarized their residence during the night. More than $3,000 in cash and gift cards were stolen.
* A Main Street resident called at 10:51 a.m. on March 25 to report a violation of a protective order. The case is being sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
* A Weld Street property owner reported at 8:25 a.m. on March 20 that someone had trespassed at a vacant house that is under reconstruction. Last fall or later someone broke padlocks and went inside, causing additional damage to the building, police Chief Jeff Howe said.
* A Main Street resident reported at 6:20 p.m. on March 19 that an unwanted youth was displaying a knife. Howe said officers found the complainant uncooperative. The youth was removed, but no charges were filed.
