LEWISTON — Sharon A. Harris, 70, died Thursday, April 2, at Clover Living Center, Auburn, following a long illness.
She was born in Portland on Jan. 24, 1945, a daughter of Charlie and Arlene (Newcomb) Thieme. Mrs. Harris was a graduate of Portland High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Augusta.
She had been employed as a legal administrator by Marshall, Raymond and Beliveau.
She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, John R. Harris of Lewiston; her daughter, Bethany Lynn Altchek and her husband, Michael, of Arlington, Mass.; her mother, Arlene (Newcomb) Thieme of Gray; her brother, Charlie OJ Thieme of South Portland; her sister, Cynthia Fillinger of North Windham; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was predeceased by her son, John R. Harris III; her father, Charlie OJ “Tex” Thieme; and a sister, Merry Jean Thieme.
