WEST BETHEL — Carol S. Jordan, 84, of the Flat Road, died at her residence on Monday, April 13, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Locke Mills on July 2, 1930, the daughter of Carl Herbert Swan Sr. and Eva Frances (Bartlett) Swan and was educated in local schools.
She was a member of the Locke Mills Union Church. She married Rodney Jordan on Dec. 31, 1949.
She is survived by her husband of West Bethel; one son, Sherwood Kent Jordan of Pennsylvania and his companion, Mitzie Naples, of Bethel; two daughters, Karen Marie (Jordan) Paul of West Bethel and Audrey (Jordan) Brooke and her husband, Randall; one brother, Hugh “Cubby” Swan of Locke Mills; one sister, Musa Brown of Bethel; six grandchildren, Aaron Paul of San Francisco, Calif., Eva Paul of Crested Butte, Colo., Sarah Paul of San Francisco, Calif., Stephen Paul of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Seneca (Brooke) Corriveau and her husband, Freeman, and Amber (Brooke) Head and her husband, Bryan, all of Newry; five great-grandchildren; and auntie cousin, Kay Brown of Lovell.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Swan Jr. and Delwin Long; and four sisters, Gwendolyn Dorey, Clover Emery, Margaret Ring and Wilma Beth Awalt.
