Coach: Randy Ridley (16th year)

Conference: MVC Class: C

Last year’s record: 10-7, lost in Class C West quarterfinals

Returning players: Seniors — Kyle Bourget (P), R.J. Sargent (2B), Joe Philbrick (3B), Darren Ward (LF); Junior — Troy Galarneau (OF/P); Sophomores — Tyler Halls (CF/P), Noah Francis (1B/P), Ryley Austin (SS/P).

Key losses: Tucker Brannon (C), Brett Gravel (1B).

Promising newcomers: Junior — Austin Fournier (1B/OF); Sophomores — Nick Lerette (C).

Season outlook: Bourget’s rapid return from November ACL surgery is huge for the Greyhounds. If the senior ace is anywhere near top form by the end of the season, Lisbon will be a factor in the playoffs. Sargent is one of the top hitters in the MVC. Halls emerged as the team’s No. 2 pitcher a year ago and leads an outstanding sophomore group. Ridley hopes the team’s experience is the right mix in a league that sees most of the top teams returning a majority of their talent.
