1930 – 2015
AUBURN — Edith Cora Parlee, 84, of Auburn, died Thursday, April 16, at Bolster Heights, Auburn.
She was born in Wytopitlock on Aug. 16, 1930, the daughter of Mildred (Caron) and Leon Rosebush. Edie enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She loved being at camp at Clifford Lake, Liberty Pond and Byron. She enjoyed the outdoors and all that it had to offer. Her
grandchildren fondly remember her excellent baking skills and
many handmade gifts.
Edie had various jobs throughout her youth, but her most important job was being a mother, grandmother and homemaker
for her family.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harold J. Parlee; sister, Bessie Modery; and brothers, Thomas and Robert Rushbush.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl and Doug Damon of Bangor, Sandra and Eric Speed of San Angelo, Texas, Deborah Kilton and Anthony Cartwright of Boynton, Fla., Diane and William Jones of Standish, Lorie and Stanley Barnies of Auburn; her son, Robert Boucher and Helessa Green of Auburn; grandchildren, Shawn Damon, Derek Damon, Mark and Alyssa Speed, Jennifer and Brandon Stonehocker, Jeffrey and Shari Kilton, Stephen Kilton and Kevin Kilton, Renee Jones, Rachael and Gagan Bedi, Matthew Coolidge, Carrie Barnies, Troy Barnies, Travis Barnies and Jacob Boucher; great-grandchildren, Jamison, Kallen and Landrie Speed, Kaya Stonehocker, Emma Kilton, Gavin Coolidge, Devaunte Barnies, Demarion Baker and Noah Boucher; siblings, Midge Hashy, Irene Kenyon, Frances Goodine, Stella Clements, Lewis Rosebush, Ann Sossong, Daniel Rosebush, Charity Richards and Gene Rosebush.
