It is the home of Ronnie Paradis, widow of former Lewiston Councilor Mark Paradis.

There was at least one car in the three-vehicle garage when neighbors Claude and Denise Mailhot heard two explosions inside, followed by flames that quickly consumed the structure.

Lewiston firefighters arrived quickly, knocking down the fire and saving the adjacent home, which had damaged siding.

Lewiston Fire Inspector Paul Ouellette was on scene to determine the cause.
