LEWISTON — A student group at Bates College will present fireworks over the college’s Lake Andrews starting around 9 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

The rain date is the previous evening, May 15.

Sangai Asia, an organization promoting Asian and Asian-American awareness, identity and fellowship at Bates, sponsors the fireworks show near the end of every academic year.

Starting at 7 p.m., the group will sell appetizers and bubble tea, and possibly arts and crafts from Nepal, at the Florence Keigwin Amphitheater, behind the Olin Arts Center at 75 Russell St. Proceeds will help victims of the Nepal earthquakes.
