LEWISTON — Eight boys’ tennis players and eight girls’ tennis players advanced Saturday into the main draw of the Maine Principals’ Association singles tournament, which begins in two weeks.

At Region 4 qualifying at Lewiston High School, the qualifying girls were Bethany Hammond of St. Dom’s, Alanna Taylor of Lewiston, Letourneau, Clio Barr of Hall-Dale, Nicole Pelletier of Hall-Dale, Eryn Doiron of Mt. Blue, Chamberland and Maddi Roy of Lewiston. In boys’ Region 4 qualifier at Bates College in Lewiston, players advancing included Sullivan Abbott of Mt. Blue, Noah Toussaint of St. Doms, Chris Laverdiere of St. Dom’s, Alex Bunnell of Mt. Blue, Kasey Smith of Monmouth, Bryson Camp of Hall-Dale, Cole Ouellette of Lewiston and Andrew Peterson of Hall-Dale.

The rounds of 48 and 32 will be held Friday, May 29, at Colby College in Waterville. The rounds of 16 and the quarterfinals will be Saturday, May 30, also at Colby College, and the semifinals and finals are slated for Monday, June 1 at Bates College in Lewiston.
