JAY — A local man is accused of threatening to harm representatives of Maine Revenue Services and others, Maine Capitol police Chief Russell Gauvin said Tuesday.

Jay police arrested Joseph W. Narhuminti, 75, of Jay on Monday on a warrant on a misdemeanor charge of terrorizing, Gauvin said.

The threats were made by email and phone beginning Friday and continued over four days, he said.

Narhuminti is being held without bail at the Franklin County jail in Farmington, according to a corrections officer.

A conviction on the charge carries up to 364 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
