LIVERMORE FALLS — Planning Board members Wednesday night approved a site plan for a business on Depot Street and tabled a site plan application for another business on Park Street.

Code Enforcement Officer James Butler Jr. said Christopher York of Liberty Tax Service received approval to move into the downstairs section of a building at 1 Depot St. Butler said three employees are expected to occupy the site. He plans to conduct a site inspection within the next couple of weeks to assure that all safety codes are met.

The new business, which has offices in Lewiston, will also offer health insurance and other services.

The board tabled an application submitted by Rayshawn Stouely to establish Route 133 Motors at 127 Park St., until he appears before the board to answer parking concerns. His application will be placed on the June 17 meeting agenda.

Butler said Planning Board members Melissa Carter, Merry Carver and Robin Beck have developed a survey asking residents what they’d like to see happen in the town over the next few years. The survey is part of updating the Comprehensive Plan. The surveys have been distributed to businesses and are available at the Town Office.

Butler said he hopes to have Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments representative John Maloney attend the June 17 meeting to answer questions and provide guidance for the plan.

Butler has also developed a form for registering property complaints. They are available at the Town Office and should be posted on the town’s website next week.

“The forms will help with the investigation of complaints,” Butler said.

In a related matter, he said the bank-owned house at 16 Knapp St. is being cleaned up. Several residents had complained about the mess there.
