1948 – 2015

JAY — Denise Marie Anne Gauvin, 66, a resident of Jay, passed away on Friday, May 22,  unexpectedly at her residence, following a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 24, 1948, in St. Adalbert, Quebec, the daughter of Alfred and Erma (Chouinard) Robichaud. She attended school in Canada and later received her diploma through the adult education program at Edward Little High School in 1988. On Dec. 21, 1968, she married Robert Gauvin and had three children, Sonia, Jesse and Amy. She worked as a stitcher at various manufacturers in the area. Denise was a member of the Faith Way Baptist Church and enjoyed studying the Bible. She also liked reading and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Sonia Pelletier and husband, Michael, of Livermore, Jesse Gauvin and companion, Angelina Goodreau, of Brunswick, and Amy Hastings and husband, Aaron, of Turner; seven grandchildren, Mason, Amia and Shane Pelletier, Trent and Trayton Gauvin and Adeline and Abel Hastings; her brother, Denis Robichaud and his wife, Nicole; and sisters, Gisele Pelletier and husband, Ghislain, Jeaninne Thiboutot and husband, Jean Yves, and Ghislaine Robichaud, all of Saint-Pamphile, Quebec; and former husband, Robert Gauvin of Lakeland, Fla.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.
