OXFORD — Alan Wilson of Hebron scored his first Super Late Model feature win at Oxford Plains Speedway in 11 years Saturday night, dominating the 50-lap main event.
Wilson, one of the most prolific winners ever at the historic Route 26 oval, won his first OPS championship in the Street Stock class back in 1979.
Kyle Treadwell of Auburn mounted a final challenge, but settled for runner-up honors. Tim Brackett of Buckfield crossed the line third position, followed by Vanna Brackettand Scott Robbins.
Zach Emerson nailed down his first Oxford Plains Speedway win in five years, prevailing in the wild, crash-filled 30-lap main event. Emerson’s victory was particularly sweet, as his teenage son, Jonathan, was also participating in the victory lane ceremony, finishing third. Andrew Breton was second.
Ryan Robbins scored his second victory of the season in the OPS Modified class. Scott Alexander of Newburgh raced alongside the eventual winner for much of the race to claim second..
Bob Weymouth won the INEX Legends feature, and Cam Childs led wire-to-wire in the Bandit event.
Bubar wins NASCAR Pro Series at Beech Ridge
SCARBOROUGH — For the second consecutive year, Corey Bubar collected the checkered flag on opening night in the NASCAR Pro Series feature at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.
Joe Pastore was second and Bobby Timmons third in the 50-lap event.
Brandon Barker weathered a late challenge from Craig Smith to pick up the Sport Series win. Reggie Leeman landed third.
Cole Watson topped the Wildcat division, leading Ryan Hewins of Leeds and Adam Lovejoy across the stripe.
