1935 – 2015
PERU — Anna M. Roy, 80, of Rumford, died Friday, May 22, at the Honey Run Beach and Campground, at Worthley Pond in Peru, and is now resting with her beloved husband.
She was born in Rumford on March 31, 1935, the daughter of Alphie and Medora (Chabot) Robichaud, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford.
Anna and her late husband owned and operated the Mexico Laundromat & Dry Cleaning business in Mexico from 1976 until 2000. She was a Communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius/St. John Church. She was a member of the F.O.E. Auxiliary, LeParesseux Snowshoe Club and the Bomberettes Bowling League. She was an avid knitter, and loved spending time camping at Honey Run on Worthley Pond, at bluegrass festivals and with friends, family and her grandchildren. Anna will be missed by all who knew her.

She was married in Rumford on June 25, 1955, to Ronald J. Roy, who died January 11, 2013. She was also predeceased by her parents and brother, Armand Robichaud.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Gallant and husband, Mike, of Roxbury, Sharon Sleis and husband, Bob, of Northwood, N.H., Karen Merrill and husband, Richard, of Fairbanks, Alaska; a son, Timothy Roy of Greene; four grandchildren, Amy Gallant and fiance, Keith Hodgkinson, of Las Vegas, Nev., Mike Gallant of Oquossoc, Nicole Allen and husband, Mike, of Leeds, and Kyleigh Grace Roy of Greene; a great granddaughter, Aliya Allen of Leeds; a sister, Alice McHale and husband, Francis, of Hopewell, Va.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Doherty of Rumford; four brothers-in-law, Richard Roy and wife, Joan, of Payson, Ariz., Leonard Roy of Rumford, James Roy and wife, Vivian, of Dixfield, and Jay Roy and wife, Tammy, of Belton, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
