PORTLAND — The Maine Real Estate and Development Association recently announced the seven recipients of its 2014 Notable Projects Awards at its annual Spring Conference in Portland on May 12. Two of the projects were in central and western Maine.
Each of the projects fulfilled MEREDA’s mission of responsible development, including environmental sustainability, economic impact, energy efficiency, social impact and job creation. But the projects also involved a significant investment of resources and job creation statewide, according to the organization.
All of the seven “noteworthy and significant” real estate projects were completed in 2014 and are fully tenanted, according to the group.
Among MEREDA’s top seven Most Notable Projects of 2014 were:
* The Hampton Inn in Lewiston, by Parallax Partners; the award was accepted by Chris Thompson and Shari Young of LodgeSys Management.
* Brookside Village in Farmington, by Farmington Land; the award was accepted by Buzz Davis and Bill Marceau.
