WCSH 6 is reporting that Trey Arsenault of Westbrook died Tuesday morning. Another person was shot at the scene too.
According to a release from the Portland Police Department, police were called to Da Block Studios on 371 Fore St. for a report of shots fired just before midnight.
Officers found two people had been shot. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, and police said their names are being withheld pending notification of their families.
Police have no descriptions for the unknown suspects, who were last seen fleeing up Market Street toward Milk Street.
The Maine Attorney General’s Office and Portland Police Department are investigating.
Several streets in the Old Port remain blocked off Tuesday morning. Traffic will be affected for the morning commute.
The Portland Police Department is asking anyone that may have witnessed the shooting to contact the Portland Police Criminal Investigation Division at 874-8533 or emergency communications at 874-8575.
