RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Anna M. Roy of Rumford at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant. He was assisted by Seminarian Matthew Gregory. Altar server was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger.
Music selections included “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Fly Like a Bird,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” A reading from the Old Testament was pronounced by Barbara Doherty. A reading from the New Testament was pronounced by Ray Doherty. The Prayers of the Faithful were pronounced by Sally Arsenault. Presenting the gifts to the altar were Amy and Michael Gallant. The Eulogy was written by Anna’s children and given by her sister-in-law, Barbara Doherty. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Greg Dube and assisted by Seminarian Matthew Gregory. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.
