1936 – 2015

AUGUSTA — Leo N. Tanguay, 78, of Sabattus, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, at the Togus VA facility in Augusta.

He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 4, 1936, a son of Emanuel Tanguay and Yvonne Lachance. Leo served in the U.S. Army in Korea and also worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and yard sales.

He is survived by his wife, Lorette Tanguay; brother, Donald Tanguay; stepdaughter, Donna Kirouac and partner, Michael Simpson; son, Norman Tanguay and wife, Sherry Tanguay; granddaughters, Sarah and Jessica Tanguay and Michael Brochu; and his niece and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Joanne Charpentier; and his daughters, Debbie and April Tanguay.
