1922 – 2015

AUBURN — Agnes Dubois, 92, of Caron Ave., Auburn, passed away on Monday, June 1, at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her daughter at her side.

She was born in St. Anne, New Brunswick, Canada, on Dec. 16, 1922, the daughter of Oliver and Sophie (Daigle) Levesque. She married Alphe A. Dubois in 1941 and they were married for 62 years.

Agnes worked for the Continental Mill in Lewiston as a winder before she retired in 1973. After her retirement, she spent much of her time home knitting, sewing and watching over the house. She loved to camp, traveling from Canada to Florida in the search of different camping sites. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Walker of Lewiston; her son, Fern and Patricia Dubois of North Carolina; three brothers, Robert of Mechanic Falls, Conrad of New Hampshire, and Joseph of Poland; two sisters, Germain Dube of Sabattus, and Jeannette Lesmarise of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Scott Dubois of Scotland, Scott Landry of Lewiston, Darcy Dubois of Lewiston, Christopher Dubois of Florida, Jennifer Dubois of North Carolina, and Shawn Landry of Auburn; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Agnes was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald; and 9 siblings.
