FARMINGTON — A New Sharon woman accused of manufacturing methamphetamine, endangering children and stealing from a company credit card pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Franklin County Superior Court.
Tabatha Schoubroek, 30, pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child and violation of condition of release in one case. In a second case, she pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and misdemeanor charges of misuse of identification and violating condition of release.
Schoubroek also faces having her bail revoked in August in regard to a charge of unlawful possession of heroin in April 2014. In that case, two children came home to find both Schoubroek and boyfriend, Daniel Villacci, 28, also of New Sharon, unresponsive from a suspected heroin overdose.
Schoubroek and Villacci were arrested March 27 after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received information about a methamphetamine operation at their home and conducted a search with other agencies. The two children also lived at the home.
In regard to the theft charge, Schoubroek and Villacci were accused of charging more than $6,000 to a credit card from Dube Environmental in Sidney, where Villacci worked.
Schoubroek, who has been in jail since her arrest in March, has been accepted to Wellspring in Bangor for substance abuse treatment, her attorney, Linda Sparks, told the court Wednesday.
She will be transferred from the jail to Wellspring and when her inpatient treatment is concluded, she will go back to the Farmington jail with the possibility of being released on a Maine pretrial contract. If released, she is prohibited from having contact with her children and Villacci.
Villacci is serving a five-year sentence after he pleaded guilty in May to drug charges, endangering children and violating probation. He is serving a total of five years in prison, followed by three years of probation.
