HI SUN SPOTS: I have two questions for your column that I hope readers can answer. I am looking for a man named Adam who refinished hardwood floors in the Lewiston area for a co-worker of mine. I have a cell number, which rings, but the message box is full. I would like Adam’s current information as I would like a quote for refinishing my hardwood floors. I am also looking for contact information for the grandson of Reginald Masse who used to deliver wood to me. It was my understanding that the grandson took over the business, but I have not been able to reach him with the number that I have. I can be reached at 207-402-4528. Thank you for your help. — Lewiston homeowner.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Got a great business idea but no cash? Kickstarter! Got a great movie idea but no cash? Indiegogo! Got a desire to go on vacation to the Caribbean but no cash? GoFundMe? Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, you can ask zillions of people around the world for money for whatever your heart desires. Some “asks” are legitimate and poignant: help a family fight a disease. Others not so. What do you think of crowd funding? Have you tried it? Given money to a cause? Have a great cause? Have examples of the worst cause ever? Let staff writer Mark LaFlamme know by contacting him at 207-689-2876 or at mlaflamme@sunjournal.com.
