1919 – 2015
LEWISTON — Clare B. Haskell passed away on Saturday, June 13.
She was born on May 26, 1919, the daughter of the late David and Blanche Bailey. Clare lived most of her life in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937.
She attended Bliss Business School in Lewiston, and was employed at B. Peck Co. and Snow’s Tire and Appliance Co. She was married to the late O. David Haskell Jr. and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Clare was a contributor to the Auburn Public Library, a member of the YWCA, a life member of the Eastern Star Pine Cone, Chapter No. 26, honorary member of First Auburn Senior Citizens and attended United Methodist Church of Auburn.
For the past several years, Clare resided at Montello Heights and Manor in Lewiston. Her interests included travel, cooking, knitting, reading the daily newspaper, sports and making people happy. She recently celebrated her 96th birthday.
