KENNEBUNK — The State Fire Marshal’s Office says one person has died and a second was seriously injured during an early morning house fire in Kennebunk.

The fire on Cat Mousam Road was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The victims were described as male, but no names were immediately released.

A third man escaped the fire unharmed.

The injured man is being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The cause is under investigation.
