LISBON — The School Committee is seeking applicants for the seat held by George Caron, who resigned effective July 1.

The position will be posted at the Town Office on Tuesday and at other places this week, committee Chairwoman Traci Austin said.

Letters of Intent from anyone interested in the position must be submitted to the committee by Friday, July 3. The committee will interview applicants and choose a person to serve until November 2016.

The committee will vote on its proposed school budget Monday, June 29. Austin said there will be an increase in the state subsidy for education. The committee decided to wait for those numbers, which should be released this week, before voting on the budget.
