DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have an idea for a children’s game. It can be played in the car or at home. I have no idea how to get this to a game company. You have been so helpful with so many issues over the years and I would certainly be grateful if any of your readers have helpful ideas or information on how to get this game made. I created it for my grandchildren and it was always a big hit especially on road trips. Thank you for all the help you provide to your faithful readers. — Minot game Grandma, 207-966-3715.

Both work with entrepreneurs. Another option is The Advanced Manufacturing Center at the University of Maine, Orono, 207-581-2713 or amc@maine.edu. They offer consultations to determine if your idea is feasible, conceptualization, prototyping, manufacturing and more. Readers may be able to offer you other suggestions. Good luck.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: What is the best way to clean my hardwood floor? Thank you. — No Name in Auburn.
ANSWER: These tips come from Consumer Reports. Start with warm water and a damp mop. Do not let water puddle on the wood. If stains remain, add one cup white vinegar to a gallon of warm water. This will remove most stains, scuffs and dirt and will leave a streak-free shine. For tougher stains, Formula 409 or Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner should work. Bon Ami is good for the stubbornest of stains but test an inconspicuous corner first to make sure it doesn’t remove the floor’s shine. Avoid ammonia and products with bleach.
