AUBURN — Two Sabattus women and a man charged in a family pot-growing operation denied related charges Thursday.

David Bizier, 51, pleaded not guilty in Androscoggin County Superior Court to aggravated trafficking of a scheduled drug, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He also was charged with criminal forfeiture of $6,000 in cash, believed by police to be proceeds from illegal activity. He has prior drug convictions.

Bizier remains free on $5,000 cash bail.

His daughter, Julia, 19, was charged with unlawful trafficking in a scheduled drug, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. She pleaded not guilty on Thursday. She had been free on $500 cash bail, but on Thursday, a judge agreed that she could remain free on her own recognizance, without money posted for bail.

Erin Crosby, 35, David Bizier’s girlfriend, also was charged with unlawful trafficking in a scheduled drug. She pleaded not guilty Thursday and remains free on $500 cash bail.

Bail conditions for all of the defendants include no use or possession of illegal drugs. They can be searched at random and tested for drug use.

In February, police seized roughly 150 marijuana plants, about five pounds of processed marijuana and more than $6,000 in cash after a weeklong investigation and a search of the home.
