KITTERY — Corinne Elizabeth Perry, 93, of Kittery Point died on Saturday, June 27, at Durgin Pines in Kittery, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Strong on Oct. 23, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Florence G. ( Conant ) Tunney. She attended local schools, graduating from South Paris High School with the Class of 1940.
In 1941, she graduated from Pelletier’s Beauty School in Lewiston and began working in York Harbor as a beautician.
In 1942, she married her loving husband, Albert W. Perry, and together they settled in Kittery Point on Haley Road from 1947 to 1959 before making their home in Kittery Point on Brave Boat Harbor Road.
Nana Perry was a dearly loved neighborhood “mother,” cooking breakfast for all the neighborhood kids as they grew up. She was a Mitchell School lunch lady and volunteered her time as a Girl Scout leader.
She was a beloved grandmother, enjoying time with her grandchildren — camping with Mike when he was young, and special time spent with Kathy, Beth and Michelle.
She and her husband, “Hap,” spent their retirement years traveling to Florida and across the country in their travel trailer, visiting friends.
Corinne is survived by her loving family, daughters, Pamela Gail Bold of Kittery Point and Sheila Jean Morris of North Turner; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Durgin Pines nursing home for their loving care during her nine-year stay.
