BALTIMORE — Joshua Charest was recently awarded a Master’s of Science in Engineering degree for mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Charest previously earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with honors from Johns Hopkins University and completed engineering internships for Proctor & Gamble, Under Armour and the Applied Physics Laboratory. He was awarded a patent for his work with soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center and his design of a cooling device for lower-limb amputees.
He is continuing his work in a program with Johns Hopkins designed to assist in developing a company and bringing design prototypes to market.
Charest is currently employed as a product development engineer with a biomedical device company in Baltimore. He graduated from Saint Dominic Academy in 2010 and is the son of John and Louise Charest.
