Ballin’ 4 Breast Cancer set
AUBURN — Turner Classics presents the third annual Ballin’ 4 Breast Cancer 3 on 3 Basketball tournament Sunday, Aug. 2, at “The Gully” on Chestnut Street.
Cost is $10 per player, and registration is 8 to 11 a.m. with tip-off 11:30 a.m.
There will be food and drinks along with $150 cash prize.
Holistic fair will have a ‘S’moregasbord’
BRIDGTON — The fourth Annual “S’more Social Holistic Fair” to benefit The HeartGlow Center will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The “S’moregasbord” will feature make-your-own, all-you-can-eat gourmet S’mores for a $5 donation.
Numerous exhibitors will feature a variety of arts and crafts including jewelry, art and books, holistic wellness sessions and intuitive readings.
A book signing of “Ignite CALM” will be held by award winning author and The HeartGlow Center’s founding director, Deb Snyder, PhD.

Hunger Coalition to hold free picnic
GREENE — The Hunger Coalition of Greene, Leeds and Turner will sponsor a free community picnic from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
Hot dogs, french fries and dessert will be available. Those attending are also welcome to bring their own food. The picnic will be held at the Greene Sports Field. There will be information, entertainment and games. The event will be rain or shine.

Fibromyalgia group to meet
AUGUSTA — Central Maine’s Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Alfond Center for Health.
The group is inviting those with Fibromyalgia to join them in working through the daily hardships, learn ways to maximize the quality of life, reduce isolation and restore hope. This is a structured meeting with monthly topics chosen by members followed by an open discussion. The event is free and open to the public.
