LIVERMORE — The Board of Selectpersons voted Monday to award Androscoggin Saving Bank a contract for a $275,000 tax-anticipation loan.

The bank offered an interest rate of 2.71 percent.

The loan covers expenses until taxes are collected.

 The only other bid was from Machias Savings Bank, which withdrew its offer after being notified it contained an error.

Treasurer Amy Byron said bid requests were sent to four banks.
