LEWISTON — Roland J. Lavoie, 73, died Monday, Aug. 3, at Russell Park Manor.
He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 8, 1941, the son of the late Carles and Yvonne (Cote) Lavoie. He attended Lewiston schools and worked for Red’s Moving for many years.
Roland would often sing a tune to anyone who would listen, due to his love of music, and would shoot a game of pool or basketball with anyone who would play.
Survivors include his daughter, Conne Woodbury and husband, Butch, of Greenvile; three grandsons, Brad, Nathan and Corey Woodbury; a great-grandson; and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his brother, Leonel Lavoie and wife, Ramona; five sisters, Pearl Lavoie of Boston, Cecile, Rita, and Annette Lavoie, all of Lewiston, and Jeannine Baccia of Florida; and his sister-in-law, Simone Lavoie of Lewiston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, Armand, Norman and Marcel Lavoie; and sisters, Carmen, Claudette, Irene Lavoie and Migonne Rideout.
