WINSLOW (AP) — A federal judge has recommended a ruling in favor of a Maine town and three police officers in a lawsuit brought by a resident alleging excessive force was used against him during a past arrest.
William Sadulsky sued in 2014, claiming he suffered physical and psychological injuries at the hands of the Winslow officers who responded to a January 2012 noise complaint at his home.
The town filed a motion for summary judgment in April.
The Morning Sentinel reported (http://bit.ly/1OUEuUQ ) the judge Wednesday recommended the granting of that motion on almost every charge in the lawsuit.
An attorney for the town and officers says they proved to the court that some parts of the case should not proceed.
Sadulsky’s attorney did not return a phone message left at his office.
