The Community Concepts Finance Corp., in conjunction with SCORE, will offer Quick Start, a series of six workshops for those thinking of starting a new business or who recently started a business.

The workshops are designed to provide all of the essential information and material for starting a business, from forms for registering a business name, forms for applying for an EIN number, to creating a business plan, cash flow forecasting, marketing and financial information.

Two workshop series are offered on different days and in different locations:

Community Concepts, 17 Market Square, Paris, will hold the series from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays starting Sept. 16. 

Community Concepts, 240 Bates St., Lewiston, will hold the series from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays starting Sept. 17. 

The Paris workshop instructors include Dana Hanley, Esq., of Hanley & Associates, Daryl Cote, CPA, with Ouellette & Associates, P.A., Christina Twitchell with TD Bank and members of the Oxford Hills SCORE team of business counselors, including Steve Veazey, John Huffman and Charlie Peabody. The Lewiston workshop instructors include Steve Veazey, John Huffman, Charlie Peabody plus an attorney, accountant and a loan officer.

The cost to register for the six-week series is $35; for an individual workshop, $10.
