1984 – 2015
LEWISTON — Travis Michael Hotham, 30, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 8, after suffering a severe seizure.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1984, in Lewiston to Tammy Hotham and William Paine. He was raised in both New Gloucester and Lewiston and attended both school districts.
Travis recently posted the following on his Facebook page: “One day someone is going to hug you so tight that all of your broken pieces will stick back together.” Sweetly, that wasn’t his only recent post about the power of hugs and compassion. While Travis’ life was far too brief, he brought more than a lifetime of smiles and love into the lives of those around him. His infectious, beautiful smile, tender spirit and compassion were a gift to all who truly knew him. We will remember and treasure the hugs and love we shared with Travis, and hopefully one day, our broken pieces will stick back together.
Together, Travis and I became one…we grew stronger every day and had so many hopes and dreams. Now that I am alone, I still feel him by my side, to help me continue some of our plans. Also, I feel blessed that I have the support of his many friends, especially his longtime friend, Yankee Dave, who was like a brother to Travis.
Travis is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Sandra and Charles Hotham Jr.; and two siblings, Joshua Alan Hotham and Brittany Anne Morrill.
Surviving are his parents; his four children, Landin, Mackenzie, Serena and Jace; his fiancée, Paige Morin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
