UPDATE: Police say speed, alcohol involved in fatal Waterford crash

WATERFORD – Police and emergency crews responded Wednesday night to a vehicle crash near an entrance to Papoose Pond Campground on Hunts Corner Road.

Early reports were that at least one person was trapped in a vehicle when the crash call came in at approximately 9:30 p.m. It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved in the wreck or how many were injured.

Oxford County Sheriff’s deputies remained at the scene late Wednesday as their investigation got underway.
