PORTLAND — Rodney J. Voisine, MD, has been named associate chief medical officer at Community Health Options, Maine’s first nonprofit, consumer-operated and oriented health insurance plan.

Voisine is board certified in anesthesiology and obesity medicine, and holds degrees in pharmacy and medicine. He maintains an active practice in South Portland and Augusta, and is a former medical director for peri-operative services at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He specializes in healthy weight loss and medical optimization of overweight people prior to elective surgery.
