DIXFIELD — Funeral services for Philip C. “Dusty” Roberts of Dixfield were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at the Dixfield Congregational Church, High Street, Dixfield, with the Rev. John Gensel officiating. Organist was Alan Hutchinson. A reading from Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 was presented by Dexter Berry.
Music selections included “In The Garden,” “Because He Lived,” “On My Father’s Side,” and “The Old Rugged Cross,” sung by Bev Downing, Ruthie Daily and Bill Downing, who also played guitar, and accompanied by organist Alan Hutchinson.
The eulogy was presented by his son-in-law Dale “Sonny-Boy” Korhonen. Words of remembrance were given by many family members and friends.
Committal services were conducted by the Rev. John Gensel. Special music “Amazing Grace” was sung at the cemetery by Bev and guitarist Bill Downing.
Interment was at the Demerritt Cemetery, West Peru.
A reception followed at the Dixfield Congregational Church.
